IMPERIAL SMOKE KOOLER

Department : METAL OUTER BOWL
An aluminium alloy stem and a vulcanite mouthpiece..pat no 14323..American made by the Edlund Co, Detroit,Michigan and distributed by the March Corporation, 608S Dearborn St, Chicago Illinois
The briar bowl is an insert inside a finned alloy cup that screws onto the stem

The pipe is also found as an E & G Airflow, this being stamped into the underside of the stem. The apparent difference between the models other than the stamping are the end cap and bit the end cap. This end cap in the Smoke Kooler is not removable, just has a screw in plug, whereas in the Air Flow the end cup unscrews entirely as in the exploded view here. Also the bit on the Smoke Kooler has a metal screw piece to attach it to the stem, whereas the Air Flow has a push fit bit that will take a filter. I have to establish whether this is a standard bit or a replacement
Yet another identical model was named as Aircool, Made and distributed in Canada by Essential Agencies Limited, Toronto, Ontario. This has the same end screw as the Smoke Kooler
In all instances the initial purchases would apear to have been a boxed pipe with a spare briar insert included. The price list shows Bowls at $1 each, Stems @ $1.50, Pipe bits @ $1 and Radiator bowl @ $1.00
Further images on A&E Airflow page Overall Length: 134 m/m The briar insert has a chamber 22 m/m deep and with a diameter of 16 m/m
