The Kirsten Lady stamped underside as Made in USA X Very neat little pipe in shiny brass tone with a valve and mouthpiece assembly that are different to any other Kirsten I have found, both with O ring. This example is fitted with a small Columbus bowl Doug from dkmetalpipes adds the following Lady Kirsten it is not made or anything like a Kirsten S. It is a completely different pipe, no other Kirsten is anything like it I have seen them in the gold tone and in polished aluminum. The Kirsten S is a 3/8 inch ID pipe, the lady Kirsten is 5/16 ID, the only pipe Kirsten ever made that size. The bowl Adapter or cup on the bottom of the Briar Bowl is also smaller than any other ever made by Kirsten, a standard bowl adapter from any other Kirsten pipe will not fit on a Lady Kirsten. The stem or mouthpiece is also different, it is the same mouthpiece that Kirsten used on their cigarette holders. So as you can see no parts from any other Kirsten will fit or work on a lady Kirsten/ Model X. I have it from Kirsten that the Lady was made in the 1950's and it has been many years since they ceased production of this model. Current models can all be found on www.kirstenpipe.com |
