METAL OUTER BOWL |
Thomas and Boyd, Luminum-Kraft Products of Cleveland,Ohio came out with these pipes around July 1946. Costing $3.50, there are 2 marked models, the 35 here and the 50 which has a different sytle of body. The bowl insert is stated as being of Algerian briar and any standard filter can be fitted inside the stem. The fishtail bit will accept the standard 6 m/m filter The parts image shows the 35, but the parts are all interchangeable with model 50 To complicate matters there appears to be several variants, slight changes to pattern on body and style of outer bowl. Even one version that seems to be neither model 35 not 50 , but one in between? The lower image has to be THE state of the art pipe rack for this style of pipes. Storage for spare briar only bowls as an integral part of the rack. A similar rack but for two pipes has been seen There was also a ejector style cigarette holder, Model 10, |
