HAMILTON

Department : METAL STEM & Screw thro bowl
The pipe seems to have started from a standard rod of aluminium. This has an adjustable smoke flow valve on the front. The bowl is all briar and the bowl retaining screw is smaller than Bryson, larger than Kirsten. Overall length is 5 inches.
The front cap is a push fit, unlike the Bryson. Internally the bore(which is different i.d. to Bryson) is blanked bit side of the smoke hole from the bowl. The screw-in rod on the end cap then adjusts the smoke flow through the hole in this blank.

Then along came Doug Bisbee with a variant, what looks to be a much better engineered pipe. It is possible of course that the first example was a mix of parts.
