At first sight this appears to be bakelite, but on closer inspection it is briar. The bowl push fits into a cork gasket. The side stampings are WALLY FRANK LTD on one side and UNDERSLUNG DE LUXE on the other The de luxe model ( with the meerschaum bowl) sold for $5 post paid in 1949, the standard model ( with a duralite bowl )was $2.75 Overall length 5 1/8 inch, height 2 inch, chamber 1 inch deep and 3/4 inch diameter |
