Produced by the Mellopure Pipe Co 6302 Heitzler Ave, Cincinatti 24, Ohio (Originally in Springfield Ohio)
Canada patent 1947.. This make is seldom seen on internet auction sites, and strangely enough more of those seem to be unused. This pipe seems to be easier to dismantle and clean than many others, and benefits from the lack of need for a screwdriver to dismantle it The centre image shows a paper wrap round the bowl insert. This is metalised on one side, presumably another method to affect heat transfer.This does not appear on the leaflet with my pipe, could be a home modification. |
