Details from the owner Crille Ström.....Over all length of the pipe is 135 mm, the height of the bowl is 30 mm, over all height (table to mouthpiece) is 40 mm and internal bowl diameter is 12 mm.
It is not a one off from some engineer's hobby shop in Sweden this is a mythical pipe, that I've heard about since I was a kid, but really wasn't sure that it actually existed for real before I found one myself. Digger is within Sweden, a really famous brand that everyone knows about, but it never really reached the foreign market. They've been around forever and the design has changed several times over the years, but not that much. They've always been recognized as Digger's. The design has even been copied by another Swedish brand called Ratos. Don't ask me why, but these pipes have been favoured by hash smokers, at least since the early '70's, and if you smoke a regular briar digger openly, chances are that hash smokers take for granted that you're smoking hash. Also from Crille:- I just found out that the Digger pipe actually was manufactured in Sweden by a company called "Uno Jansson AB". The company is long gone though, and the man it was named after (the owner) too. "Jison produkter AB", the company that now produces Digger pipes and now hold the rights to the brand name "Digger" had never seen a digger made of metal before I showed them mine |
