It is claimed that juices could never reach the smokers mouth, all being trapped in the lower chamber of the shank no matter at what angle the pipe is held. Drained by pulling off the briar bowl The aluminium shank has a rubber mouthpiece push fitted and held by a C clip HARPER stamped on left hand side of lower chamber of shank.
